Arleana’s

Arleana’s is a French-inspired Caribbean restaurant by the owners of Island Soul in Columbia City.

The restaurant is designed to give diners an immersive experience with vibrant colors, whimsical lighting, tactile materials, and lush plants. The space is modern, approachable, playful, and soulful. The main space features a curved wood ceiling and glowing shelving that highlights the bar and showcases the extensive bottle collection. The kitchen is open for an engaging experience for both staff and guests. A separate banquet room provides a more intimate space for dining and private events.

Freehand Studio is the architect of record for this initial tenant improvement build-out in the Parque mixed-use building in Kirkland’s waterfront district. In addition to designing the restaurant layout, we provided custom interior design including material and finishes specification, lighting design, casework & built-ins, and furniture procurement.

Close collaboration between the Architect, Business Owner and Contractor transformed the empty shell into a vibrant third place.
